This week our children have shown interest in things that grow outside. The children were shocked to find out that some of our favourite vegetables also grow outside and not in a shop! We enjoyed watching Jo Jo and Gran Gran making their very own soup and our children wanted to do the same. We prepared our area, washed our hands and chopped our vegetables. We explored each vegetable using our senses and talked about where they grow. After all the hard work and preparation we sat down to enjoy our lovely hot vegetable soup! 

'My food I make is the best' a nursery child commented ... We definitely agree!
