This week our nursery children became sea creature rescuers while investigating what happens to ice! 

The children discovered sea animals “stuck” in blocks of ice and worked together to set them free. 

They experimented with warm water, salt, and using tools; watching closely as the ice melted and discussing what would happen.

The excitement (and cheers!) as each creature was rescued! 

We discussed which option was the best for melting out ice.
