YR 6 Coding

In this lesson for computing, year 6 were asked to create a simple scoring game.

We started by looking at how we could control the character.  We used the tilt mechanism of their device (iPad) as the input to control the game character – when we tilted the iPad left, the character would respond and also move to the left. We used variables within our programs so we could keep track of the score.  Children explored audio and recording their own voices and changing the graphics within the game.
