YR 4 Computing

In this week's Year 4 computing lesson, children explored how to use count-controlled loops to create shapes using code.
They learnt how repeating instructions can help draw accurate geometric shapes, building both their programming and mathematical understanding.
The children programmed sprites to respond to key presses, making their projects interactive. For example, when the “S” key was pressed, the sprite drew a square. This helped them understand how inputs can control actions within a program.
To extend their learning further, pupils experimented with the pen tool by changing colours.
