YR 4 computing
This week in Computing, Year 4 have been developing their coding skills by completing sequencing challenges. Sequencing means putting instructions in the right order so that a computer or character can follow them correctly. Just like following a recipe or set of directions - the order matters!
The children worked through different levels on the computer, carefully arranging their coding blocks so their fuzzy character could reach the goal. Sometimes, if one block was in the wrong place, the program didn’t work – so they had to test, debug and try again.
We were really impressed with how quickly Year 4 spotted mistakes and refined their code. By the end of the session, everyone had completed tricky puzzles and built confidence in understanding how computers follow instructions step by step.
