The children were set a creative challenge:
To design a robot that could help solve a problem that happens during winter.

We began by thinking carefully about the kinds of challenges winter brings, especially in a school environment. Pupils explored ideas such as:

• Robots that remove snow and ice from the school playground and MUGA
• Robots that keep people warm during cold weather
• Robots that give you hot drinks
• Robots that help tidy and organise winter clothing

Each child chose a problem and designed a robot character.
