YR 4 Coding – Learning About Conditionals

This week in Computing, Year 4 explored conditionals – one of the key building blocks of programming!

We learned that a conditional is a rule that tells the computer what to do if something happens. For example: “If there’s a wall ahead, turn right” or “If you find a star, collect it.”

Children worked through coding puzzles that required them to think carefully about “if” and “then” decisions, testing and debugging their programs to make sure their fuzzy characters followed the right paths.
