Class Collective Worship

On Thursdays, KS2 share a collective worship in our classroom together. This week's question was, 'Do I have to forgive?'
Class Collective Worship... 'Forgiveness is like a piece of paper'.
This led to a fabulously deep and meaningful conversation in Year 6.
Zayna wowed us and shared a very insightful analogy.
" My Grandma told me, forgiveness is like a piece of paper. When someone has hurt you, screwed up your piece of paper, you can forgive them and flatten it out again but now it may have some creases. If they do it again, your paper is screwed up into a ball again. You can again forgive them and flatten out your piece of paper but the lines get deeper. You should forgive people but it can be hard sometimes to forget as your paper can be spoilt."
We love it when our children think so deeply and share their ideas. Collective worship allows time to think about life's questions.
