Dear Parents and Carers,
This Week in School
Another busy and very warm week has flown by at St Stephen’s!
A huge well done to our Year 5 and Year 6 football teams, who represented the school brilliantly in this week’s football tournaments. We are incredibly proud of their teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.
Our KS1 Sports Day was a fantastic success, with the children giving their all and having lots of fun. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who came along to cheer the children on and support them throughout the event.
Unfortunately, our KS2 Sports Day had to be postponed. We know the children were looking forward to it, and we will be in touch with a new date as soon as possible.
We are also delighted to share the fantastic news that St Stephen’s has been awarded Gold status for the My Happy Mind programme! This wonderful achievement recognises our commitment to supporting children’s wellbeing and mental health.
Looking Ahead
School reports will be sent home next week, giving families the opportunity to celebrate the children’s achievements and progress.
We will also be saying goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they prepare to leave St Stephen’s and begin the next chapter of their journey. We will be very sorry to see them go. Their special Year 6 performances will take place on Wednesday 15th July.
Our Reception children will also be celebrating an important milestone with their special graduation ceremony on Thursday 16th July.
A Quick Reminder
The warm weather continues, so please send your child to school with a named water bottle each day to help them stay hydrated.
Thank you for your continued support, and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's
