ISSUE 112 - 20th March 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 3 and 4 Brushathon!

Year 3 and 4 have all taken part in a national Brushathon this week.  Every child has received a toothbrush and tube of toothpaste, and learnt about the importance of looking after their teeth.  Keep up the good work years 3 and 4!

Year 2

On Thursday 26th March, year 2 children will be visiting the Magna Science Museum for the day.  Parents, please ensure you have paid for your child's visit via Parent Pay.  If you have any difficulties with this then please speak to a member of staff in Sycamore office.

School Choir

Next week some of our children from year 6 will be performing alongside other school choirs at St George's Hall.  Look out for how it went in next week's newsletter.

Chocolate Easter Raffle

We will be having a chocolate Easter Raffle next week to raise funds for school.  There will be all sorts of chocolate goodies available to win.  Tickets are £1 each and children can bring money to school to buy a ticket during the school day, or parents can buy tickets at home time from either Sycamore or Willow office.  Tickets won't be on sale at the beginning of the day, only the end.

Kanga Breakfast Club and After School Care

After Easter we will be outsourcing our Breakfast Club provision and providing after school care through Kanga.  Mrs O'Brien will still lead Breakfast Club however you must now sign up via the Kanga site: https://www.kangasports.co.uk/st-stephens if you would like your child to attend.  Children will only be admitted to Breakfast Club if they are signed up in advance via the website.

Kanga will also be providing After School Care, the first hour will be a sport club, with the option for children to stay beyond this if you require childcare.  There is a charge for both of these options.  Please see the information further down the newsletter for more information and how to secure a place.  School will no longer be providing sport based after school clubs.

Have a lovely weekend, Eid Mubarak to all our families and staff who will be celebrating.

Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's.

Rodocodo 💻✨

Your child has been given their Rodocodo login, and we’d love for them to continue their learning at home! (Years 2 - 6)

Rodocodo is a fun, game-based way for children to learn coding. As they play, they begin to think like real coders - solving problems, building resilience, and developing important skills without even realising it.

By using Rodocodo at home, your child will:

  • Grow in confidence when tackling challenges

  • Improve their problem-solving skills

  • Become more independent learners

It’s a great way to support their learning in a fun and engaging way. Encourage your child to log in and explore - happy coding! 🚀
