ISSUE 126 - 16th July 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank You for Another Successful Year

As we come to the end of another successful school year, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our parents and carers for your continued support. Your encouragement, involvement and partnership make such a difference to school life.

Please do take the time to read the letter that has also been sent out, which explains some important changes for September. This includes information about changes to the school day, packed lunches, school uniform and the Old Bowling Lane gate.

Nursery News

We would like to say a very special thank you to Miss Lewis for the wonderful work she has done in transforming our nursery. She has made such a positive difference, and we wish her every success and happiness for the future as she leaves us this week.

Our nursery continues to be very popular, and we are pleased to share that building work will begin over the summer to make the space even larger. We have appointed Miss Walsh to continue this amazing work. Miss Walsh is a skilled nursery teacher who joins us from another Bradford school, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming her.

Building Work Over the Summer

There will also be building work taking place over the summer to replace some of the roofs on the Sycamore buildings. This work will help us continue to improve our school environment for the children.

Good Luck to Year 6

We would also like to wish our Year 6 children the very best as they move on to their next schools. They have shown an amazing attitude throughout the year, worked incredibly hard and given so much friendship and kindness to our school community. We are very proud of them.

Wishing You a Restful Summer

Thank you once again for all your support this year. We wish all our families a restful, happy and safe summer, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September.

Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's

Little Wandle - Letters And Sounds.

The resources on this site will help you support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters. There are also some useful videos so you can see how they are taught at school and feel confident about supporting their reading at home.
