Dear Parents and Carers,
Culture Day
It has been fantastic to see all our children and staff wearing outfits that represent their culture or country of birth today. It demonstrates how diverse a school community we are yet how we also come together as one, as St Stephen's! Thank you so much for your support with this event.
Learning Reviews
Thank you to all those parents and carers who attended Learning Reviews this week. It is lovely to have the chance to discuss your child's progress with you. If you were unable to make it and have any questions, please speak to the class teacher after the holiday.
Packed Lunches
You should have all received a leaflet outlining our school policy for packed lunches. We are seeing too many children having cold take-away food or chocolate spread sandwiches. Too much of this kind of food impacts their health and their learning. After half term we will be monitoring lunch boxes carefully and you may be asked to attend a meeting with Mr Urry if we feel a packed lunch does not consistently provide sufficient nutrition.
School Gates
We have had a number of incidences of adults forcing open the gates at the end of the day. Please do not do this as apart from the damage to the gates, it also puts the safety of all the children at risk. If you are found to be forcing gates open you may not be able to access the school site.
Reporting your child's absence.
If your child is absent from school for any reason, you MUST contact us as soon as possible. Absences should be reported between 8am and 8:45am where possible. If you do not inform us then you will receive a call from our attendance team.
Half Term Holiday
Today is the last day for February half term holiday. School re-opens on Monday 23rd February at 8:45am.
Have a wonderful holiday week.
Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's
