ISSUE 104 - 16th January 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been another busy week here at St Stephen's!

Our year 4 pupils visited a local Gurdwara to learn more about the Sikh faith and how it compares to their own.  Do ask them what they learnt.  Year 6 had an informative talk from our local PCSO about anti-social behaviour, and the whole school enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast panto at St Stephen's Church on Wednesday afternoon - oh yes, they did!

Next week, we are having a special collective worship from Bradford Bulls telling us more about the sport, and on Wednesday year 5 are taking part in a special workshop about renewable electricity.  Look out for photographs about both events in next week's newsletter.

Reminders:

Water Bottles

If your child does not have or has lost their school water bottle, new ones can be bought from Sycamore office for £2.50.  We cannot provide cups/beakers due to spillages and hygiene.

Trainers

If children wear trainers to school on a non-PE day, they MUST be completely black (this applies to our staff as well).  White or brightly coloured trainers are NOT school uniform.

Packed Lunches

A number of children are bringing packed lunches that contain cold take-away food.  This is not appropriate for a school lunch.  Please do not send such items with the children.  Children may be given a school meal instead if the packed lunch is not acceptable.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's

Little Wandle - Letters And Sounds.

The resources on this site will help you support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters. There are also some useful videos so you can see how they are taught at school and feel confident about supporting their reading at home.
