Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a very busy week at St Stephen's!
Year 5 have started their swimming lessons, and already some children have progressed to swimming with armbands which is fantastic!
Year 6 had a very sunny day exploring Saltaire, learning about the history and architecture of this part of Bradford.
As a school we have been celebrating Refugee week with various events including some children attending a special event in Bowling Park as part of Schools of Sanctuary; all our children and staff were invited to dress in clothing that represents their heritage and culture on Thursday, and we had a special collective worship on Thursday with guest speaker Furaha Mussanzi.
Year 3 Road Safety
On Monday 23rd June, year 3 will be learning how to stay safe when crossing roads, and being aware of the traffic. It will be a really useful session for them, do ask them about it when they get home.
Photograph day
Next week on Thursday 26th June, children will be having their school photographs taken. A letter will be sent home on Monday with further details.
Bikes
From Monday 23rd June, any child bringing a bike to school will be required to lock it in the bike shed in Willow car park.
If you do not have a lock, then you can borrow one from the school office. There will be a £5 charge for the lock, which will be refunded when the lock is returned to school.
Have a lovely weekend. Enjoying the sunshine!
Best Wishes,
From Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's
