This week is Refugee Week 2025. Some children from St Stephen's attended Bradford Sanctuary Seekers Education Awards at The Beacon at Bowling Park. We listened to inspirational music and heard stories of achievement by children and young adults from schools across Bradford who have shown great resilience and achieved success. Areas such as outstanding achievement in English as an additional language, courage and resilience, attendance and outstanding academic achievement were all awarded recognition. We were proud to see some of our children up on stage receiving some of these awards.

As a school, we also gained further recognition for achieving school of sanctuary status, so striving to ensure our families have a safe and welcoming place to learn.
