On Tuesday 14th September, Y6 had the great experience of visiting an art gallery - Cartwright Hall in Lister Park.  We went to find out why our classes are called Appleton and Cartwright, to look at some fabulous portraits and to have a go at portrait drawing ourselves.  We particularly enjoyed looking at the portrait of 'the brown boy' by Joshua Reynolds.  We thought the boy looked very rich and full of himself!  We were not sure why we liked his mullet haircut!
