ISSUE 111 - 13th March 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Kanga Breakfast Club and After School Care

After Easter we will be outsourcing our Breakfast Club provision and providing after school care through Kanga.  Mrs O'Brien will still lead Breakfast Club however you must now sign up via the Kanga site: https://www.kangasports.co.uk/st-stephens if you would like your child to attend.  Children will only be admitted to Breakfast Club if they are signed up in advance via the website.

Kanga will also be providing After School Care, the first hour will be a sport club, with the option for children to stay beyond this if you require childcare.  There is a charge for both of these options.  Please see the information further down the newsletter for more information and how to secure a place.  School will no longer be providing sport based after school clubs.

School Photographs

All children who were in school on Thursday 5th March had their photographs taken. If you are still wanting to order your school photographs online, you have until Thursday 19th March 2026 to take advantage of free delivery back to school. Orders after this date will incur a delivery charge.

World Oral Health Day – School Brushathon Campaign

To celebrate World Oral Health Day, children in years 3 and 4 will be taking part in a Brushathon campaign.  During the week commencing 16th March, your child will be provided with a toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste to take part in a supervised toothbrushing session at school. Afterward, they will be able to take the toothbrush and toothpaste home. https://youtu.be/gdcn9KbNTQY?list=PLe6sG4dYPse_Fy46CRLU6iRK5XdLSlBHz

School provided After School Clubs

We are changing the way in which you sign up for school provided after school clubs.  For summer 1, club sign up will be via the Arbor app.  Clubs will be made available to the relevant year groups via the app from Monday 16th March.  Sign up will be available for one week or until the club is full.  Sign up is on a first come, first served basis.

Have a lovely weekend, Ramadan Mubarak

Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's

Little Wandle - Letters And Sounds.

The resources on this site will help you support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters. There are also some useful videos so you can see how they are taught at school and feel confident about supporting their reading at home.
