Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back!
It has been wonderful to see everyone back after the holidays. Attendance has been very good this week with 3 classes achieving 100% - amazing! Thank you so much for ensuring the children get to school each day on time.
World Book Day 📖
Next Thursday is World Book Day! To celebrate a love of reading, each class in school will be studying the same book. The book is called
Return by Aaron Becker and is the final instalment of a trilogy we have read over the last two years. Do ask the children all about it next week.
Potato Book Character Competition 🥔
World Book Day is nearly here, and our much-loved Potato Book Character Competition is back!
Create your favourite book character using a potato (yes, really!) and bring it into school by Wednesday 4th March. Winners will be announced on Thursday 5th March (World Book Day) — and the lucky winners will get to choose a book!
Start designing… we can’t wait to see your spud-tacular creations!
School Photographs 📸
Thursday 5th March is also school photograph day for the children. This will take place during the school day. More details will follow in a letter. Make sure you are wearing the correct uniform!
World Oral Health Week
Year 3 and 4 are taking part in the World Oral Health Day the week of 16th March. After the Brushathon in school, the children will bring home a toothbrush and toothpaste. Please see your letter coming home. If you are happy for your child to have a photograph taken for the oral health team, please sign the release form attached to the letter and give it to the class teacher.
Have a lovely weekend and Ramadan Mubarak to all those observing at this time.
Best Wishes from Miss Loughlin and all the staff at St Stephen's.
