Dear Parents and Carers,
Learning Reviews
Learning Reviews are happening next Wednesday 22nd October and Thursday 23rd October, 3:30pm to 6pm. To get a day and time that you want then please book your appointments by using the Arbor portal or app. If you need help with this then please speak to a member of staff.
Black History Month
To celebrate Black History Month, all the children have been learning about Muhammad Ali, the American boxer and social activist. They have learnt how his faith was important to him, and how he helped to influence and shape other people's attitudes towards others. As part of this special month, KS2 have also been learning about Racism due to skin colour, religion, language or where someone was born. In class they have discussed why this is important, the seriousness of it, and how we can support each other in dealing with it. Please do chat to your children about both of these important issues.
Book Fair
The Book Fair will be in school next week from Tuesday 21st October. It will be based in Sycamore Hall and open after school on Tuesday and Friday, plus during both Learning Reviews. Do come along and see what exciting books are available to buy. School earns commission on all books sold which we can then use to buy more books for the children to read in class.
