Mr Procter's Biography

Good morning Jowett class.

I would like to introduce myself as your new teacher and tell you a little bit about myself.  You may remember that I met you briefly back in February when we worked on reading a poem aloud - called Instructions by Neil Gaiman?. You were amazing and made me think how fabulous it is going to be to work with you and help you with your learning.

I have worked both as a class teacher and a headteacher in various schools in Bradford, Halifax and Leeds.  My first job as a teacher was in 1994 which makes me feel very old!  My particular specialism as a teacher is maths, but I enjoy teaching all the subjects at school. I think the great thing about being at school is having different lessons with different subjects each day.

I have two children and, more importantly,  two dogs. The children are grown up now.  I love to play tennis, but that’s not allowed during the lockdown so I have to make do with walking the dogs each day instead.  I don’t look very much like my avatar but I do have glasses and a beard (not as big a beard as the avatar!).

I am so looking forward to working with you when we finally get back to school. I think we are going to have a lot of fun learning interesting things together.
