YR 2 Pictograms

This week in Computing, year 2 were learning about pictograms.

Pictograms are a way of displaying data using images.  Each image in the pictogram represents a number or a value.

Both classes took part in creating a class pictogram for their favourite colour.  Each circle represented a child's vote, as you can see from the data collected in our pictograms, blue was the favourite colour for both year 2 classes.

We then went on to create our own pictograms based on how teachers travel to school.  Children drew a bike, bus, car and a foot (to represent walking).  Children then added the data to their drawn pictograms and then answered questions based on their data.

We also re-capped tally charts from the previous lesson.
